Fast Fashion does not take your specific measurements in mind. Generic sizes do not accommodate your unique body shape or fit properly in all areas. If you want to learn the fundamentals of alterations and the anatomy of different garments so that you can feel empowered to dress more confidently and on a budget then this class is for you.

Each sewing session will focus on one type of garment to investigate the different types of fit issues and how to pin and sew them in a professional way. You may bring a maximum of 2 garments of the same kind, e.g. top, to have it fitted and work in class. Please note that you may not complete the alterations in class depending on how fast you are able to deconstruct the garment and sew.

Structure of the Class:

In the first hour and a half each student will have their turn to be fitted in their garments. Students are required to observe and may take turns supporting each other in learning how to pin. Since you are not able to pin yourself in your own garments in certain areas it is good practice to be involved in the fittings. Ask questions and learn!

In the second half of the class students will begin to work on their garments and receive instruction in steps for marking, deconstructing, preparing, cutting and sewing the alterations.

Students are encouraged to observe their peers being fitted so to reinforce understanding through observation as well as in practice.

Due to limited spaces, all sewing lessons are final and cancellations will result in forfeit of payment. Bookings are strictly NON transferable to other class dates. Please check dates before making your sewing class bookings as there can be NO exceptions.
